Terms
Lesson terms
How booking works, what the free assessment is and is not, how fees are charged, and what we put in writing before you pay for anything.
These are the terms every lesson runs on. Where a detail depends on the programme or the format you choose, we confirm it in writing before you pay, and that written confirmation is part of these terms.
The free assessment
The first session is an assessment and it is free. There is no charge, we do not ask for payment details, and nothing is owed if you decide not to go on. It is a session with a tutor to see what the learner can already do and talk through what we would recommend.
Sending an enquiry or a WhatsApp message asks for an assessment time. It is not a booked appointment until we have replied and agreed a time with you.
What we confirm before you enrol
Before any payment, we confirm in writing: the programme, the lesson format, the tutor's availability, the lesson schedule, the group size where a group is involved, the fee and its currency, and the payment instructions.
A lesson is sixty minutes unless we have agreed something different in that confirmation.
Fees and currency
Fees are on the fees page and are quoted in US dollars, per learner, in every country we teach in. If you pay in another currency, your bank or payment provider may apply its own conversion rate and charges, and the amount that leaves your account can differ from the figure quoted. Learners paying in naira should ask for a current naira quote before paying.
Payment methods. Confirmed with you in writing before you pay.
The same rates apply at the centre and online.
Packages of eight lessons
A package is eight lessons. It is not a monthly subscription, and eight lessons is not a discount on eight single lessons: it is the same rate, paid in one go.

Groups
A small group runs only where there are enough learners at a similar level. If no suitable group is available we will say so, and offer one to one lessons instead.
Maximum group size. Confirmed with you in writing before you pay.
Recordings
Whether a class is recorded, who can see the recording and how long it is kept are agreed before lessons begin. A recording is never made of a learner without that agreement. What we do with your details more generally is in the privacy notice.
What we do not promise
A grade. A result depends on where a learner starts, how much time there is, and how much they practise between lessons. We promise teaching, feedback, and a straight account of how it is going.
Changes to these terms
The terms that apply to your booking are the ones confirmed to you in writing when you paid. If this page changes afterwards, that confirmation still stands for the lessons it covered. Last updated 5 September 2026.
