Online tutoring in the United States

Online math tutoring for students in the United States

Live lessons focused on understanding a method, practising it and going back over the mistakes. We teach online from Nigeria. Send the student's grade, current math course and city so we can check tutor fit and scheduling.

Start with the course and the difficulty

Send the course name, the topics, and a recent piece of work if you have one. Whether the trouble is with calculation, fractions, algebra or geometry, that gives the assessment somewhere to start. For an advanced course or a test, send the exact course or test name before booking, so availability can be confirmed for the support you are asking for.

Practice, with feedback on it

The tutor explains examples, asks the student to work through questions, and uses their answers to decide what still needs attention. The goal is an understanding the student can use without us.

Check a workable lesson time

Send your city and the days and times that suit you. We check availability and confirm the appointment in your local time before enrolment.

We teach from Uyo, on West Africa Time, UTC+1. Ongoing lessons depend on what the tutor has free, so we would rather tell you which slots we can hold every week than promise one we cannot keep.

Inside a session

What the hour looks like

1

Warm up

Five minutes on last week's topic, to check it stayed.

2

Teach

The new idea, worked on screen, slowly, with the learner talking through each step.

3

Try together

They lead, the tutor watches. Mistakes here are the point of the lesson.

4

Try alone

Questions from the worksheet, in their exercise book, camera on the page.

5

Set and send

Homework set, and a short note to the parent on how it went.

Questions from US families

Do you offer SAT or AP support?

Send the exact test or AP course and where the help is needed. We confirm whether the support you are asking for is available before accepting a booking.

Can you help with homework topics?

Schoolwork helps us see what to explain and practise. The tutoring is aimed at the student understanding and finishing their own work.

Where is PADESS based?

In Uyo, Nigeria. US students attend live online lessons.

Can families in different US time zones enquire?

Yes. Include your city, so we can check a time that works rather than assume one slot suits every family.
